REASONS TO HELP

87% Experience Pain

Nearly 87% of people in the United States have foot pain, stiffness, or aching feet.  Common foot problems can reduce employee productivity, cause excess stress, strain other parts of the body like the lower back, and distract from leading a productive lifestyle. If patients experience any of the following issues, a foot orthotic may be a solution.

Bunions

A bony growth or misaligned bone at the base of the big toe, or sometimes on the small toe. The big toe may bend abnormally toward the smaller toes.

Calluses

A thick, rough area of skin or a hardened, raised bump.

Corns

Different from a callus these are smaller and deeper and have a hard center often surrounded by swollen skin.

Hammertoes

Toe joints that curl up or under, either rigidly or with some flexibility, often resulting in a permanently dislocated joint. Normally the second toe but may affect all middle toes.

Deformities

Foot abnormalities that will continue to worsen over time when left untreated, and can normally be completely corrected with surgical intervention but with proper orthotics can often be corrected over time painlessly.

Arthritis

Arthritis in the feet can cause pain, stiffness, swelling, and in some cases joint deformity or misalignment.

Gout

Excruciatingly painful swelling of joints in the foot normally present in the big toe. The joint may be stiff and appear red or purple, swollen, and tender to touch.

Heel Spurs

A bony growth that pokes out from the bottom of the heel, where the heel bone connects to the ligament running between the heel and the ball of the foot (the plantar fascia).

Plantar Fasciitis

Inflammation of a thick band of tissue that runs across the bottom of each foot and connects the heel bone to the toes.

Arch Pain

Pain along the arch of the foot normally caused by fallen arches (flat feet) or abnormally high arches.

Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome

A shooting pain, numbness, tingling or burning sensation in the foot. Very common in people with chronically swollen feet normally occurs with those suffering from arthritis or diabetes.

Achilles Tendonitis

Condition where there is inflammation of the tendon that connects the heel bone to the calf muscle.

Morton’s Neuroma

A nerve growth between the third and fourth toes with symptoms of pain and numbness.
